Following the folder on the golf equipment. You will find in this article all you need to know about golf clubs: focus on the wood. The woods are golf clubs longer than the golfer can have in his bag that used to hit long shots. They have a wide head shape more or less spherical and footings slightly curved to allow the club to slide easily on the ground before and during impact. Originally, these clubs were made of wood from which their name. The woods are made of modern lightweight metals such as titanium or composite materials, first appeared in the 70s but have not really been used before the 90s. The longer the wood is the wood commonly called a driver. It has an extremely broad head whose use is facilitated by placing a ball on a tee. Are emerging today of square head drivers supposed to have a better tolerance and allow a gain in distance. The smaller timber (now 3 and 5 are the most used on the route and the 2, 4, 7 and 9 less Commonly Used) fairway woods are named because the main use on the fairways to allow relatively long shots. The lofts range from frequently timber from 7.5 to 31. The loft is the biggest popular with women and senior citizens with their angle of takeoff from the ball high and this even with a relatively modest impact velocity. The length of the handle of drivers is about 114.3 cm but most players prefer shorter sleeves because they have the distinction of being easier to play. The shafts of drivers can be graphite or steel, although graphite is commonly used because of its lightness and ability to have a significant acceleration of the head to swing down. Like nearly all the golf equipment, the length of shaft are subjected to the USGA rule. The maximum length of regulatory shaft is 121.9 cm.
